bip-Art Printmaking Workshop

Courses in traditional printmaking

Housed in a charming mews workshop and now in its seventh year, bip-Art was founded by artists Ann d’Arcy Hughes, Helen Brown and Hebe Vernon-Morris, to create, “an independent artistic haven encouraging calm and creativity to ‘bring inner peace‘”, which is what b-i-p stands for. Courses include traditional etching, soft woodcut, printed textiles and zinc plate lithography and vary in length from a couple of days to several weeks. For those with some printmaking experience, the workshop has an array of specialist equipment including presses , rollers and acid and water baths which can be used on an open access basis by bip-Art members. Details of how to join, an explanation of the different kinds of printmaking – and a schedule of  upcoming courses and children’s workshops can be found on their helpful website.
