Cheerful, airy Egg and Spoon has filled a breakfast, brunch and lunch-shaped hole in Kemptown’s stomach with remarkable success since opening in 2015. Weekend brunch choices include salt beef hash, french toast made with croissant, maple syrup and strawberries, and Kedgeree. Lunch sandwiches (on a choice of breads) savoury snacks and salads can be eaten in or taken away. Portions are generous and prices for this kind of food very reasonable.
