There are takeaway pizzas — and then there’s Pizzaface. Hugely popular for the quality and variety of its pizzas, the tiny takeaway/delivery outlet is dominated by its woodburning oven. They do most of the standards (Margharita, Ham and Pineapple etc) but also offer a long list of tasty originals, such as The Jakub: chorizo, pork and wild boar salami, caramelised onions, mascarpone, chilli flakes and oregano. There’s a separate vegan list on the helpful menu – and you can also opt for Spelt, gluten-free or wheat-free crusts. There are weekly specials, salad and antipasti options, wine and beer — and desserts include gelato and brownies. The website also features the sister branch in Hove — so be sure when phoning in your order that you are indeed calling the Kemptown branch.
