The Barley Mow

Cosy, friendly, pie-serving local

The Barley Mow is one of the oldest pubs in Kemptown – in a great location in the heart of Kemptown village and with a lovely and private terraced area out the back. It was recently extensively refurbished inside and out, but their slogan of the day on the blackboard outside is a mainstay of Kemptown life. The friendly vibe extends to a healthy supply of boardgames, quiz nights  — and the pub’s immense kindness to Kemptown Insider’s late cat, Kremlin, who became a devoted Barley Mow regular. The food menu is dominated by Pieminister pies — along with comforting puddings such as sticky toffee pudding.
