The Sussex Beacon Charity Shop

Supporting people with HIV

Browsing is easy in this well organised charity shop, with many of the clothes conveniently sorted onto size-labelled hangers, just as they would be in a boutique. The Sussex Beacon is a Brighton-based charity which provides specialist care and support for people living with HIV. It has just two shops in Brighton – and this one, at the busy bottom of St James’ St, is the one which deals with clothing, shoes and accessories as well as stocking  books and DVDs. The team are happy to take bags of donations and nothing goes to waste: items which can’t be sold here are likely to be sent to the second shop, which specialises in household articles and textiles which can’t be sold will go for rag recycling.
