THE FRETFUL FEDERATION AT ST GEORGE’S CHURCH: 1930-2200

The Brighton-based Fretful Federation plays all kind of  instruments, to perform a mix of . Baroque and Classical works, contemporary and traditional mandolin orchestra music. Tonight’s performance will feature a guest appearance from the New American Mandolin Ensemble, which is made up of three mandolins, two classical guitars, ‘liuto cantabile’ and string bass. FITNESS AND FEELGOOD KEMPTOWN, ACTUALLY! : 0845-1000 AND 1930

A  fitness meet-up of up to 12 women, organised by personal trainer Jeannie Hignell. Taking full advantage of the sea air, beach and open spaces which Kemptown has to offer, the group welcomes beginners and improvers. The Tuesday morning session exercise includes hooping, cardiovascular, dance, resistance, body weight and small equipment exercises and relaxation.  The Tuesday evening session 7.30 is  fitness training for runners. MENSTRONAUTS ARE GO GO! AT THE SPIRE:

Theatre artist and academic Marisa Carnesky leads a a five-day performance workshop to explore ‘the lost cultural heritage of our menstrual cycles and the important role menstruation has to play in human culture’ There will be a performance staged at the end of the workshop. AQUARIUM HISTORY TOUR AT SEA LIFE BRIGHTON: 1630-1800 SOLD OUT

Brighton’s Sea Life, just on the Kemptown side of the Pier, is the oldest operating aquarium in the world.
