A popular and stylish independent Gastropub in a tranquil Kemptown backstreet, family-run Busby and Wilds is named after the Georgian architect team who designed many of Kemptown’s most iconic houses. The menu features bistro-style food, made with locally-sourced ingredients. There are towering burger options, some interesting vegetarian choices, some great local ingredients and nice touches such as daily homemade mayonnaise and Sussex cheeses. An impressive and eclectic beer menu ranges from Belgium to Iceland. Sunday lunches have a loyal following, so it’s advisable to book. Dogs are welcome and there’s a pretty courtyard garden out the back.
